MY STORY

Hi, I’m Chloe, a storytelling family & motherhood photographer based in Gauteng.

Wife to Alistair, Mother to my two beautiful sons, Oliver and Ross, bush lover and wildlife photographer and a TOTAL teapot!

Us Lot

My mother always told me I had a unique way of seeing the world, she’d often call me a yellow bus – a person who is warm and welcoming, someone who observes and feels deeply. I always thought this was a weakness, but after becoming a photographer and a mother, I realize it is my greatest strength. this unique perspective allows me to not only connect deeply with the lovely souls I encounter, but to capture their story authentically.

"I’m searching for the light and art that already exists in your story. I want to expose it so that in the years to come you can hold on to them. So that you can relive that magic moment."

I WANT TO TELL YOUR STORY

My priority as your photographer is to create an atmosphere that allows you to feel relaxed so that the moments I capture are authentic and truthful. I love to think of myself as an artist or a poet, creating something beautiful as it unfolds, to look at something for a brief moment but squeeze as much beauty out of it as humanly possible. I look at the little things this way, and I must admit that I am quite obsessed with capturing it.

My one piece of advice to achieve this would be to abandon all sense of controlling the outcome and allowing yourself to be present. To be loved. To be seen. To be vulnerable. To genuinely connect…

…that’s when the magic begins.

Some quick facts about me

I’m deeply inspired by human connections, a good movie and light.

I love tea so much that my husband calls me a teapot

I don’t have a history of photography in my family, yet it has always been something I’ve felt drawn to. And now that I am here, it will always be a part of who I am and what makes me, me.

I am also a wildlife photographer and have a deep love for the African bush -@taggs_wildadventure

I also shoot weddings and events alongside my other half Alistair -@ali_and_i_weddings
